ARTWORK
GRAPHIC DESIGN
PokeHöllin
This is my first attempt of recreating and redesigning a store logo.
There is a small store in Glæsibær (Iceland) which sells Pokemon cards and toys.
I've always liked the store, and the store owners, but I think that their logo could use a good makeover.
I decided to recreate their store logo and make it more professional, clean and modern.
Of course I did not come up with their graphic design but I decided to redesign it from scratch.
I cleaned up their line work, used gradient colors, made a design change and recreated the fonts.
The only "real" change I made was adding the outlines of the iconic poke ball into the castle.
The castle already had the right colors for it so all I had to do was adding the black lines.
I decided on that design to be the final one.
It tells the customer what the store is about, even with out the fonts logo.
You have a castle (höll/höllin, in Icelandic)
with the poke ball design, so the design speaks for itself; poke ball + höll = PokeHöllin.
It was a real fun exercise for me and the store owners loved the make over!
I, and Pokehöllin, claim no ownership on the Pokemon logo or the font.

On My Mind
This is a cover art I made for my friend for his school project. My friend studies at Point Blank Music School in London and he had an assignment to create a cover art, Facebook and Instagram ad for his song.
His song is called "On My Mind" and is in the EDM genre.
The person who is singing can't stop thinking about the person he is in love with, therefore; on his mind.
My friend gave me instructions what he was thinking about for the art and the theme of the song and I came up with the artwork. He loved the idea and we worked together on the color palette and the composition/sequence.

MEMORY
Cover art and visuals I made for my original song "Memory".
I created the the cover art in Adobe Illustrator, composition and rendering in Adobe Photoshop, video and visuals created in Adobe After Effects.
First I referenced a face of a model by creating the main shapes of the face. Later I filled the shapes with the word "Memory". The face was then fixed and cleaned in
Adobe Photoshop.
My inspiration was from my song "Memory". I created the song and wrote the lyrics. Early on I had the idea to create a face that was made out of the words memory. I wanted to imply that the memory face was the person that the
song is about.
The song is created in Cubase Pro, and given out under my artist name "G. LOGI".

Tilfinninga Vinur
"Tilfinninga Vinur" was a university project I got the honor of assisting with. A year one psychology group in Háskólinn í Reykjavík asked me to create the character designs for their app idea.
The app is called "Tilfinninga Vinur" and is supposed to help kids in stress or with special needs to express their feelings to the character (emotional friend) of their
own choosing.
They wanted to have the characters friendly and welcoming, some kind of an animal, teddy bear hybrid. They gave me a color palette and wanted the characters to be in pastel colors.
I illustrated the characters in Adobe Illustrator and created the app logo design in Adobe Photoshop.
